From the foundations.
The 110 m² single-storey home forms an L around an inner garden. The new facade and landscape proposal considers the building together with the street, entrance, garden and plot boundaries.
DMRL Mimarlık Mühendislik’s work in 2022 comprised technical checks during the foundation and reinforced concrete stages. Site photographs of reinforcement, formwork and foundations record this process.
Projecting eaves are replaced with a thin parapet flush with the walls. Light mineral render, stone surfaces, dark frames and timber at the entrance simplify the low volume. Developed from site drawings and construction photographs, the landscape proposal brings together two open parking spaces, a stone entrance path, low walls responding to level changes and slender railings. Trees and low planting frame the lawn and define the garden edges.
